Nyureni Dham

Situated at an altitude of approximately 2,700 meters on the border of Ward No. 1 and 2 of Silichong Rural Municipality in Sankhuwasabha district, Nyurenidham is an important center of religious and cultural faith. Rich in natural beauty, this area features a pond, lush green forests, worship sites, and various religious structures established by Shamans (Dhami-Jhankris). Especially on the occasions of Udhauli and Ubhauli Purnima, this place witnesses a significant presence of devotees. According to religious beliefs, it is a popular faith that offering water to the pond and performing worship and prayers will fulfill one’s wishes.

Along with its religious significance, Nyurenidham is recognized as a destination with immense potential from the perspective of natural and cultural tourism. Accessible via trekking trails from Budhabare, Teyung, and Dandagaon, road facilities have currently been extended up to Chitre. Regular worship, religious rituals, and group meditation programs are conducted here, which has helped strengthen social and cultural unity among the local community. The conservation, promotion, and development of Nyurenidham are expected to contribute significantly to preserving local culture, tradition, and original identity, while simultaneously promoting religious tourism.
